CCS Athletic Eligibility Requirements
 
Below is an overview of our policy regarding eligibility guidelines for our student-athletes.  If you have further questions please contact Jeff Bonkoski (Athletic Director).
 
Eligibility Guidelines

a. All CCS student-athletes will read through, agree to abide by, and sign with their parents the Christian Athletic Agreement. This must be on file in the school office no later than the end of the first week of practice during each sport.

b. All CCS student-athletes and parents will sign all appropriate forms as defined by the Athletic Director or coach. All forms must be on file in the school office no later than the end of the first week of practice during each sport. (some forms may be accepted for the entire academic year)

c. All CCS student-athletes will have a current physical on file in the CCS office prior to any participation. Physicals remain current for 3 years.

d. All CCS student-athletes will abide by and are subject to the CCS discipline policy including (but not limited to) the CCS dress code.

e. All CCS student-athletes must attend the full academic school day in order to practice or play in a game that evening. Exceptions may occur which include but are not limited to doctor appointments, dentist appointments, or college visits. If a student is absent from any classes during the day because of sickness, they are ineligible to participate in any practice or game that evening.

f. All CCS student-athletes in grades 9-12th must retain a minimum overall grade of C- in each subject area. This grade is per class and is evaluated weekly. (If any home school student does not retain at least a C- in any subject, the parent is responsible for reporting this to the school office immediately.) Students on academic probation will be subject to the policy guidelines as listed in the CCS policy manual. 

g. If anyone is found ineligible for any other reason during the season, they will remain ineligible for the remainder of the season.
 

Eligibility for Home School Students :

 

All full time home schooled students are eligible to participate in extra curriculars

 

Full time home school students will be taking 100% of academic classes at home (with the exception of the PSEO program).

i. Must be registered in one of the CCS home school options


ii. May be taking PSEO classes at college if they are registered as a home school student (as opposed to being registered through the public school)

 

 

Part time CCS students may participate in extra curriculars if:


i. They are home schooled for the remainder of the day and/or


ii. They are taking class(es) at a public school if CCS does not offer the class in that subject area. (for example: automotive class, shop class, band, etc.) All public school classes need approval by the athletic Director prior to participation in CCS extra-curricular activities.
